Blog #5 An Inspirational poem "Be Thankful" I would like to share.

Be thankful that you don't already have everything you desire. If you did, what would there be to look forward to? Be thankful when you don't know something, for it gives you the opportunity to learn.

Be thankful for difficult times. During those times you grow. Be thankful for your limitations, because they give you opportunities for improvement. Be thankful for each new challenge, because it will build your strength and character.

Be thankful for your mistakes. They will teach you valuable lessons. Be thankful when you're tired and weary, because it means you're made a difference.

It's easy to be thankful for the good things. A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who are also thankful for the setbacks. Gratitude can turn a negative into a positive. Find a way to be thankful for your troubles, and they can become your blessings.

I am thankful that you all share your thoughts, insights, and support with me this semester.

  1. Mary, this is a wonderful piece of writing. I want to personally thank you for your feedback on my blog posts, and I also want to tell you that I have enjoyed reading yours. I hope your presentation went well, and that parents were interesting in such an important topic, the importance of early literacy. It was definitely attention grabbing!
Wishing you the best in your future,

  2. Thanks Mary for that inspiring poem. When I first started at Kendall an Instructor sent me that same poem and I actually made copies of it and read it from time to time. It is best to live a thankful life. You gave great comments to my posts and blogs. I hope that I provided support to you by providing you with useful information that could be used in this class. I wish you the best as you continue your career as an Early Childhood Professional. I hope you continue to make your voice be heard and support young children by being an effective educator, parent, and friend. Continue to provide resources and materials that can support the families you will come into contact with now and in the future. I hope that you and the other professionals you come into contact with can work as a team and provide unlimited resources to parents, students and the community.

  3. Mary,

This comment to thank you for giving your input on my topic. Your opinions have been very helpful and has made a difference in the way that I see Home Childcare Providers. Your role as a provider is making a huge difference in the future of young children. You have choosen to educate yourself so that you can provide a better service for yourself and the families that you service. You are an important person to your famiy's lives. I know that your advocacy efforts won't go unheard because you are one who is driven to changes

  6. Wow! your inspirational quote is very deep, I can feel what you are feeling. It can actually motivate others from your quote, you had me read the whole quote, keep it up! We all had been through some rough year at Kendall, but the internships had been very challenging. That is why it is very important to have one another.

    1. I learned when you give THANKS TO GOD!!! it's bring hope and you can accomplished anything. Because you can do all things through christ which strengtheneth you. Philippans 4:13 We need to encourage each other and give support when you think there no light at the end of the tunnel. CALL ON GOD BECAUSE WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!!!
